Not every pack needs a full exception memo. If your statements were audited last year, the facility is a routine renewal, and only a few schedules changed, a pre-submission file check often catches what matters: missing exhibits, date mismatches, and arithmetic slips.
Choose the comprehensive audit when the structure is new — first-time borrowers, complex security, related-party webs, or grant budgets with matching funds. Those files hide narrative risk that a checklist will not surface.
A useful rule: if more than one person rebuilt the numbers in the last fortnight, invest in the deeper review. Fresh consolidation errors travel quietly into application forms.
